Tech Mantra : How to customize Window 7 log on screen : Post 3

Today we are going to see how we can customize Window 7 log on screen
without help of any 3ed party code.

So we will be changing three things:-
1. Background image
2. User image
3. User name

So we will start from  changing the background
Take a image and paste it on desktop
Remember three specifications for the image
1.Name should be "backgrounddefault" (can be done by renameing it)
2.Size should be less than 256kb
3.image should be in .jpg format

then open  C:\Windows\System32\oobe\info\backgrounds
and paste the picture here

then open start panel and open run
then type regedit (registry edit) and press enter

you will see this panel/ window

Now open,

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE-->  SOFTWARE--> MICROSOFT --> WINDOWS --> CURRENTVERSION --> AUTHENTICATION --> LOGONUI --> BACKGROUND

Here if there is not a file name OEMBackground 

then right click and 

make a DWORD file and

 rename it OEMBackground

double click on it and change the value to 1.

You are all set 

now you can restart and enjoy.
